Madeira Goes Cyber with SPARTA

On the 4th of November 2021, SPARTA delivered a cybersecurity training and awareness workshop entitled “Go Cyber with SPARTA - Raising Cybersecurity Awareness Across the World” to several SMEs working on the tourism sector, from Madeira island.

The workshop was at Colégio dos Jesuítas building, in Funchal, Madeira, led by Nelson Escravana, Cybersecurity Director at INOV and involved in the SPARTA WP4 – T-Shark programme. The workshop respected the following agenda:

- Welcome Session

- SPARTA Project presentation

- Threat landscape

- Human aspects of cybersecurity – social engineering

- Management and risk analyses

This workshop was an opportunity to present the SPARTA project, create awareness on the cybersecurity issues - not only to the SMEs but also to several university students who also attended the workshop - and provide guidance on how to protect a business from cyber-attacks.
